Insertion loss test is for measuring the losses of light appears in fiber optic core and fiber optic cable connections. Return losses test is for measuring the amount of light that is not reflected back at a connection point.
Very little light lost through the fiber optic assembly will not effect on the quality of the optical signal. The higher this loss, then the lower the amount reflected. Therefore, the higher the return loss, the lower the reflection and the better the connection. Insertion losses are measured in dB.
Jera preforms test on
• FTTH drop cables
• Fiber optic patchcords
• Fiber optic adapters
• Fiber optic pigtails
• Fiber optic PLC splitters
For fiber core connections test is operated by IEC-61300-3-4 (method B). Procedure IEC-61300-3-4 (method C) standards
We use test in our routine quality tests, in order our clients can have products that conform requirements. Our factory’s laboratory is capable to proceed wire range of related to standards type tests.
