Shear bolt pin connector 4/0 AWG Cu stud to 250-350 Kcmil conductors, CCBPT-2-120-185+TX-152 Cable connector bolted pin type, tin covered, with copper pin 152 mm, for 120-185 mm2 alum or copper cables
Features
Easy installation with no special tools required
Tin-plated protection against corrosion, compatible with both aluminum and copper cables
High mechanical strength with torque-controlled shear head bolts
Metal sealant protects at aluminum-copper transitio
Low contact resistance gives superior electrical performance
The Pin terminal connector can be used for terminating solid, compact, compressed, and concentric stranded AAC as well as ACSR conductors.
The Pin Terminal Connector's design incorporates shear head bolts, which ensures that the correct torque is applied and consequently the optimal contact force is generated to minimize connection resistance. The primary tool required to install the connector is a standard ratchet wrench with appropriate hexagonal sockets.

Components and materials
The pin connector is R&Dand manufactured by Jera Line. Body is manufactured from high conductivity aluminum designed for heavy-duty utility applications. The bores of the connector bodies have a unique grooved surface to enhance electrical contact and minimize resistance at the interface between the connectors and the conductors. The cable entry area is chamfered inside to provide easy cable insertion. The pin terminal connectors are tin-plated, which makes them suitable for the transition between aluminum and copper.

Test
The Pin Terminal Connector CCBPT-2-120-185+TX-152 has successfully passed routine testing at Jera Line's in-house laboratory, ensuring it meets high standards for performance and safety. If needed, Jera Line can provide a factory test report compliant with IEC 61238-3 standards.
The testing scopes are as following:
● Visual Inspection Test and Dimensional and Material Verification:
Ensures the connector meets specified design dimensions and material requirements, verifying overall quality and conformance.
● Mechanical Tension Test (IEC 61238-1-3):
Confirms the connector's ability to withstand mechanical stresses, ensuring it maintains connectivity under tension.
● Shear Head Function Test (IEC 61238-1-3):
Verifies the reliability of the shear head bolts, which are designed to break at a specific torque, ensuring a secure and consistent installation.
