Pre-insulated cable lugs are electrical connectors designed to terminate and connect cables, ensuring a secure and reliable electrical connection. These lugs come with an insulating sleeve that is pre-insulated, which provides additional protection against electrical shock, moisture, and corrosion. The insulation also helps to prevent short circuits by ensuring that the conductive parts of the lug do not come into contact with other conductive elements or materials.
Jera Line offers two kinds of insulated cable lugs, with different design to meet different needs and applications.
1. Insulated crimping cable lug -- CPTA series
Jera Line produce CPTA series crimping cable lugs which are suitable for the connection between distribution network from the outdoor to the indoor busbar or connect other electrical equipment up to 1KV. They are detail marking with letter and rubber color, to distinguish the size quickly.
Key features:
· Detail marking: The crimping cable lugs are color coded according to the cable sizes, let customer distinguish the size
· Bi-metal usage: Tin covered aluminum alloy body allows them to apply with both AL and CU cables
· Insulation:The insulation material is typically made from durable plastic or PVC, which is designed to withstand environmental factors such as heat, moisture, and chemicals.
· Crimping: The CPTA lugs are designed to be crimped onto the cable, fast installation with certain tool which marked on the body of lug.
· Cable size: 35-150 mm2 cable sections for wide applications
2. Insulated bolted cable lugs -- ICL series
Jera line produce Pre-insulated mechanical bolted cable lug ICL from size 16-400mm2, is designed for termination low-voltage up to 1KV power distribution systems up to 1KV, and provide reliable and secure electrical connections.
These lugs are particularly suited for applications where a bolted connection is preferred over a crimped one, offering ease of installation and re-usability.

· Insulation protection:
UV resistant polymer insulation rubber, durable, it instead of heat or cold shrinks tubes, provides protection against electrical shock, waterproof and mechanical damage.
It’s ensuring long-term performance in outdoor and indoor applications.
· Spearhead bolts installation:
Precise torque, no compression tools, the bolted design allows for easy installation and removal, making it suitable for situations where connections may need to be frequently adjusted or inspected.
The bolted mechanism to secure the cable, which provides a strong and stable electrical connection.
· Material and Conductivity:
The conductive part of lug is made from tin covered Aluminum material, which ensures low electrical resistance and reliable current flow.
The lug is suitable for both Aluminum and Copper cables applications.
· Variety of sizes
The ICL series includes three models: ICL-16-95, ICL-2-70-240, ICL-2-185-400
the range of cable size is from 185 to 400 mm2.
· Standard
They are Manufactured according to the standard: EN 50483 & IEC 61238-1.
Applications:
It’s commonly used to connect power cables to electrical equipment such as switches, circuit breakers, or transformers, joint wires together in electrical panels or distribution boxes.

Type test：
Jera Line’s ICL series lugs has the third party laboratory type test report according to the test scope of international standard EN 50483 & IEC 61238-1.
Meanwhile Jera Line has own laboratory testing equipments to do the routine tests.
The below are testing scopes:
1. Visual inspection test and dimensional and material verification, EN 50483-1:2009 clause 6.
2. Shear head torque test
3. Tensile strength test / slippage test (IEC 61 238-1 – 3, Class 1)
